INGELARA Part 1 – {Canberra Commercial Photographer}

I have put some images up from this property before from my Sunflower shoot. They grow some amazing produce and it’s all organic ranging from apples to garlic and potatoes. Gini and Pete are amazing and such humbling people, I love spending time with them. I was so happy when they asked me to photograph their property to promote their farm at the local markets. It’s called Ingelara and their website can be found here. I have just shared a small snippet of the shoot as there will be another shoot to follow in the next few months. I absolutely LOVE the pumpkin photo, I think that the colours and the shapes are divine! Hope you enjoy this preview!!

I had an absolute blast with this family on Saturday afternoon. It was surprisingly very hot and was the perfect opportunity to have a bit of a play near water before winter slowly starts settling in. I was worried leaving the shoot, as I knew I would have a hard time picking my favourites! And I was right….Hope you like them as much as I do!

I spent a beautiful sunny and warm afternoon with this amazing young family photographing them amongst a field of sunflowers. This location is just outside of Canberra down towards Cooma at Ingelara. Hope you enjoy these photos!

As I have stated earlier on facebook, I don’t normally do weddings but I couldn’t resist being a part of this couples special day. It was forecast to rain that day, however we didn’t get a drop at the Boat House, while it was hailing in Gungahlin at the same time! Canberra’s weather is so unpredictable sometimes.

Their wedding was very simple and elegant, which is the way that weddings should be. Michelle showed no signs of stress leading up to the wedding, however when I got to her house she was so nervous she was shaking! I am glad that she managed to calm her nerves before marrying her teenage love. They have been together for over 10 years and this was the beginning of a new chapter for them. We had lots of laughs, especially during the ceremony. They are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, so grateful for everything. I wish you both the best of luck for the future and I can’t wait to share the rest of the photos with you! This is just a quick sneak peak.

TASMANIA – {Canberra Travel Photographer}

I spent 10 days in Tasmania for two reasons, 1 to attend a seminar on a farm called Pindari Herb Farm and 2 to see and show my mum a bit more of Launceston. We had a great time, getting a nice tan (finally!) and doing lots of walking. I wanted to share some images that I took while I was over there. This is just a small selection. We booked a hotel for after the seminar, but a lovely lady on the trip kindly offered for us to stay with her. I was so glad we did as we got to see the city from a locals point of view and we got the chance to travel to three different delicious factories! Oh I was in food heaven The main thing that I got from it was just to really appreciate the simplicity and the beauty of nature.

CHARLIE – {Canberra Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited about meeting Charlie after doing Alicia’s maternity shoot. Charles Steffen was born on the 15th of December 2011, just in time for Christmas. He was so sweet to look at and photograph, I had a few ‘awww’ moments. The innocence in newborns is so pure and magical, it makes you want to be surrounded by them all the time! Just by looking at their faces when they were interacting with him, makes me want to have a baby…soon enough.

I decided to take more of a lifestyle approach to this shoot, rather than a stylised one. This way you get to see the precious moments of interaction and just focusing on who they really are. Doing the day to day things can sometimes be taken for granted, so I really wanted to focus on that. I hope you enjoy viewing them, as much as I enjoyed taking them!

I had a really lovely afternoon with this couple that is expecting their little one on Boxing Day! The weather was really unpredictable as the sky was telling us that it should rain but I am so glad that it held off. It ended up being quite a pleasant afternoon for a shoot. ALICIA & LOWELL – {Canberra Maternity Photography}

These guys were awesome fun, I had an amazing couple of hours with them on Tuesday morning. Alicia was up for anything, I had her climbing on rocks, sitting in places where you don’t know if there is something just waiting to pounce on you and she made it look super easy. She is due anywhere from the 20th of December, and she is glowing! (I hope I look that good when I’m pregnant!) They have just recently come to Canberra and I wish them the best of luck with the birth and their future. Oh and Lowell was an awesome assistant – if you need some work on the side, do give me a call hehe Hope you enjoy your little preview! Can’t wait to show you the rest.
